Four year old kindergarten is funded by the State Government through the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, and there are usually additional fees per term to cover costs for the 15 hour a week program. In 2021 the state government will be fully funding 4yr old kinder and there will be no cost to families. Children need to be four by the 30th of April in the year that they start.
