Eva Bartha
Kindergarten Teacher and Director – Kookaburra group
Hi,
My name is Eva and I am one of the kindergarten teachers and the director here, at Yarraman Oaks Primary Kindergarten.
I started working at this kindergarten in 2008. I choose this kindergarten because I leave locally, and I know this community. I am passionate about teaching young children, and I highly value the vibrancy of the cultures we all bring with us from home. As a multilingual person myself, I am an advocate of preserving and teaching the children their mother tongue and their ancestor’s culture.
I was born in Romania, and I am an ethnic Hungarian. With my husband, we have three adult daughters, and we are actively involved in the Hungarian community life in Melbourne. I taught Hungarian language at Victorian School of Languages for 25 years.
Fariha Hasib
Educational Leader, Early Childhood Teacher – Lorikeet group and Magpie group (Mondays and Tuesdays)
Hi, my name is Fariha and I am teaching the Lorikeet group and Magpie group (Monday and Tuesdays).
I believe each child is an individual and has individual needs. I have to adapt my teaching practices to suit the needs of each child. I believe in providing a safe, comfortable, stimulating and fun educational environment.
I love play based learning and completing projects with the children.
I have three children of my own and love spending quality time with them.
Hemavathi Hanasi

Hello, my name is Hema. I am one of the kindergarten educators for the four-year groups at YOPK. I love to be a part of children’s learning journey. I am very happy to be a part of YOPK. I got to learn many things from the friendly, supportive and encouraging staff.
I have two children, one attends the YOPK and other one goes to the YOPK. My hobbies include listening to songs, watching dance shows.
Vigna Vilashini Mohan Doss Gandhi

Hi my name is Vigna. I was a family day care educator from 2012 and now I am happy to have joined the team as an educator at Yarraman.
I finished my diploma in 2012. I have a daughter who is 16 and doing her VCE and a son who is 13 years doing his year 8. I’m from an Indian background.

Hi my name is Su. I was an Educator in an Early Learning Centre in a kindergarten for 6 years. At present I work as a co-ordinator in a Family Daycare office and am also and Educator here at Yarraman.
I have one daughter Hasandie who is 19 years old and started university this year. I’m of Sri-Lankan background.
Veena Gundlur

Namaste, my name is Veena.
I studied the Diploma of Children Services and started to work as a family day care educator in 2018.
I then worked with agencies for three years. Since last year I have been working in a childcare centre.
I have two lovely daughters. We migrated from India to Australia in 2013 .
Roshni Ratnayaka

Hi, my name is Roshni Ratnayaka and I’m from Sri Lanka. I’m so excited to join Yarraman Oaks Kindergarten as an educator. I moved last year from New Zealand and whilst I was there, I worked a in kindergarten for over 6 years and achieved my ECE and care diploma.
I believe that every child is unique and has the right to be in a secure and safe environment to stimulate their creativity and critical thinking whilst developing positive attitudes and compassion to others. It’s important to me respecting the diversity of heritage language identity and culture of their families.
My husband and I are parents to two lovely boys and a labradoodle called Loki. I love reading books, doing craft projects, baking and being outdoors with my family. I’m also looking forward to getting to know more about our kindergarten community and doing the best I can with them.
Tamia Richardson

Hi I’m Tamia. I am an apprentice here at Yarraman Oaks Primary Kindergarten. I am studying to become an educator.
I am so happy to work here and to be part of your child’s learning journey. I work in all three groups. I love to sing. I’ve been singing for over 10 years. I love how singing connects people together. I love singing and dancing together with the children.
Briony Ryan
Volunteer
Hi my name is Briony. I am a volunteer on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Both of my children attended Yarraman Kindergarten in the 3yr old groups. I began working at this kinder in 2009. In this time I completed Cert 3 and Diploma of Children’s Services. I have since been involved at YOPK in an employed or volunteer capacity.
